Even though Danny was quickly compelled to talk, in this instance, I love the idea that they’re comfortable sitting there, lost in their own thoughts and side by side.  I love the idea that they habitually retire to these chairs at the end of a case.  I love the idea that these chairs remain by the water, always, just waiting for their owners to return.  And most importantly of all, I love the idea that they have designated seating.

I may seriously not get over this. 

This is the man who did not cry at his father’s funeral, his endless cattle-prod torture, his sister’s kidnapping, his mother’s reappearance. Nothing. The literal closest we’ve gotten to Steve in tears was that shocked look during the story about his Grandfather and the Arizona. 

And this? 

This is Steve going from exhausted numbness breaking (#1), to the full emotional crack of emotions when he tries to laugh and it looks horribly painful (#3), and then standing there, completely shiny, tears in his eyes, watching Danny off (#6).

I may just. I may not have words. Babe. Babe. We get it. He’s everything. Ever.
